Curriculum vitae
From 1994 to 2001, I studied Wirtschaftsinformatik - which is a combination of computer science and business administration - at the University of Mannheim.
Since August 2001, I'm here with the "Lehrstuhl für Praktische Informatik IV"at the University of Mannheim working towards my PhD degree. Within, the "Lehrstuhl", my affiliations were / are:
- 08/2001 - 12/2003: The FleetNet - Internet on the Road-Project.
- 01/2004 - 05/2004: Teaching Assistant to Prof. Effelsberg.
- 06/2004 - 2005: The NoW - Network on Wheels-Project
- 2005 - 2007: Teaching Assistant to Prof. Effelsberg
In April 2007, I have received my Dr. rer. nat. degree from the University of Mannheim.
Since visibility mainly relies on internet indexes these, a quick note about my real name: My name is Holger Füßler, which is
F/B4LATIN SMALL LETTER U WITH DIAERESISB4/B4LATIN SMALL LETTER SHARP SB4/l/e/r
, refering to the unicode standard letter names. The 7Bit-Version of the name would be Holger Fuessler. Some germans tend to misspell it Füssler, because that would be then natural spelling when hearing the name (because the ß is spoken short). However, my favorite misspelling is Holger Fubler. I guess this comes from OCR-Software that is only 7Bit capable not to forget programs getting confused or even crashing when my name is entered. So, now you know my real name. Have fun getting your favorite typesetting program do it right. ;-)
