Interactive Home Learning
The Interactive Home Learning project aims at the learning student at home who usually only has a low-bandwidth access to the Internet.

The Digital Lecture Board (dlb) is a synchronous teaching and learning tool for remote instruction. It is basically an enhanced whiteboard tailored to the specific needs of teaching and learning.
MBone VCR on Demand Service
The MBone VCR on Demand project deals with the problem of interactive remote recording and playback of MBone sessions.
Educational Multimedia Library
Development of a multimedia library which provides effective mechanisms for storage and retrieval of different media types.
TeCo3D - VRML Based 3D Telecooperation Applications
TeCo3D is a joint project of the Mannheim University and the Siemens Telecooperation Center in Saarbrücken, which aims at the development of 3D telecooperation applications for collaboration-unaware VRML.
VIROR - Virtuelle Hochschule Oberrhein
Viror - The virtual university project linking the universities of Mannheim, Heidelberg, Karlsruhe and Freiburg. High quality education anywhere, anytime.
RTP/I - Real-Time Transport Protocol/Interactive
RTP/I is an application-layer protocol for the transmission of interactive media with real-time characteristics (e.g. whiteboards, distributed animations etc.).
Life Long Learning (L3)
The upcoming L3 project will cover teleteaching/-learning issues related to companies.
ANETTE - Applications and NEtwork Technology for TEleteaching
The upcoming ANETTE project will establish and evaluate an infrastructure for Home Learning based on the ADSL technology. Moreover, it includes the development of the multimedia lecture board (the successor of the dlb and AOFwb).
